The studio

A footprint on the way back.

My name is Mobeen. In some ways, I’m just like you — another servant, a worshipper, a lover on the journey back; a sinner yearning for forgiveness before the Divine Court, hoping to be recognised by the Rasool ﷺ.

Framed Himma calligraphy living alongside ordinary life
A quieter corner of the studio.Calligraphy living alongside ordinary life — the work is made to remain present in lived spaces, not to sit apart from them.

For a long time, I didn’t know the word for it, but I had himma. There was a resolve in me to do good — and to do it because goodness itself felt worth pursuing.

Himma is that resolve — the aspiration by which the heart rises. But aspiration also needs reminders. We are shaped, in part, by what we keep around us: the words we return to, the places we remember, and the objects we choose to live with.

These things can become a sabab — a means through which we remember, recalibrate and return to what is good.

This studio is nothing more than a channel for that sabab: a digital footprint along the way, reaching into the physical world through art, colour, calligraphy and energy. It is a place for me to share something of my spirit through the work, and to offer it without holding back.

The work is not here to place something inside you that was never there. It is here to call forward the light you already carry.

May the light of love be the speed at which we cross the Ṣirāṭ.

The work
Made as an anchor for remembrance.

Words, places, colour and form chosen as a sabab — a means of return, helping shape the environment around us toward remembrance, intention and good.
